Blood on the ground

If  you build a ministry on the basis of jealousy, greed and cannibalistic ambition rather than on obedience to God and humility in relationships, then your foundation is very weak and one day the entire skyscraper and its proud superstructure will collapse and you will be left at ground zero with misshapen metal struts clawing an ashen sky.

And no matter how much you euphemize that into martyrdom and hype it through media, you cannot silence the cacophony of blood crying from the ground, over which you built your success. For, on the final day you will stand condemned without even a glimpse of heaven.

I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?"
