Get Lateral

If you have to think out of the box, you must first live out of the box. Never get constipated into a hell-hole, like frogs in a well. Smug in their dank, dissipating pond surrounded by suffocating slime-green walls. You got to jump out, see different, do different, be different! And soon, in time, you may be able to think out of the box, get lateral, become innovative, leap with solutions, jump free and be emancipated.

As the Chinese proverb goes, "if you want to know what water is don't ask the fish." The fish knows of no other existence other than its own placid world. It has no other reference other than its own myopic associations.

But then, how many people really want to break free from dumb mediocrity? The beaten path is always the safest. There are no dangers, no adventures, no dead-ends, no sharp turns, glib platitudes, plagiarized visions, cataract-ed dreams and mundane goals. It is a comfortable stagnation and satisfying fermentation. All in a merry-go-round, everybody is having fun but nobody is going anywhere. No culture-shock, no future-shock, no mental-shock and, worse, no spiritual shock!
